Setting up Free Email Forwarding in Plesk

Email Forwarding is basically mail redirection and gives you the appearance a personalised and more professional email address.

Login to Plesk

First login to Plesk. The login particulars will be included in the setup email you received from Weycrest. The login URL will always be in the form of https://yourdomain.com:8443. In our example the domain is httpsme.com so the Plesk login with be https://httpsme.com:8443

Create a Mail Redirect

By first clicking on the Mail Icon Image:Webforwarding100.jpg

Add New Mail Name

Firstly you need to create a new mail name. This can be anything you like but in this instance its sales@httpsme.com

Enter New Mail Name

Add sales into the Mail Name field in the Mail Name Form. Also unclick the tick boxes for Control Panel Access and Mailbox and click OK.

Select Redirect

The screen will now display a Warning stating the mail will not be delivered, so we need to class the Mail Name as a Redirect. Click on the Redirect Icon.

Enter your forwarding Address

Now enter your forwarded email address into the field below, in this case its a hypothetical example. Mail arriving at the server for nigel@httpsme.com will instead by forwarded to nigel@myadslprovider.com.

DNS Changes

Please note if you request a DNS Modification for your domain, the email and web forwarding will no longer work, and your domain name will eventually be de-activated in Plesk
