Setting up Free Email Forwarding in Plesk
Email Forwarding is basically mail redirection and gives you the appearance a personalised and more professional email address.
Login to Plesk
First login to Plesk. The login particulars will be included in the setup email you received from Weycrest. The login URL will always be in the form of https://yourdomain.com:8443. In our example the domain is httpsme.com so the Plesk login with be https://httpsme.com:8443
Create a Mail Redirect
By first clicking on the Mail Icon
Add New Mail Name
Firstly you need to create a new mail name. This can be anything you like but in this instance its sales@httpsme.com
Enter New Mail Name
Add sales into the Mail Name field in the Mail Name Form. Also unclick the tick boxes for Control Panel Access and Mailbox and click OK.
Select Redirect
The screen will now display a Warning stating the mail will not be delivered, so we need to class the Mail Name as a Redirect.
Click on the Redirect Icon.
Enter your forwarding Address
Now enter your forwarded email address into the field below, in this case its a hypothetical example. Mail arriving at the server for nigel@httpsme.com will instead by forwarded to nigel@myadslprovider.com.
DNS Changes
Please note if you request a DNS Modification for your domain, the email and web forwarding will no longer work, and your domain name will eventually be de-activated in Plesk
